Finally, I am getting some other shots of our home up.  Since we are moving soon I thought I better get caught up before I have to do this all over again.  Keep in mind when we bought the house, I chose for most of the walls to be an off white with the baseboards […]

I am so glad that you are starting to post the rest of your house. I just love your guest bedroom! It looks very inviting. And, I really like how you put everything together. Beautiful!

I know you are probably thinking…THE BATHROOM!  Yes, the bathroom.  It is a room in my house and we as humans spend some of our time there.  🙂  With that said, I had to make it as pretty as I could.  This is another room that I did the off-white and white color scheme.  I […]

  • Thank you, Sophie! Wait till you see my guest bedroom bedding! 🙂

It took us awhile…a long while to get things unpacked and put away.  We threw away lots and also donated lots of stuff.  We…well I have lots of stuff and it still amazes me at how much I have accumulated since I was in college.  Simply nuts!  C’est la vie!  My brother, Adam, was working […]

I love it! I would feel so welcome and exicted if I were to step through your front door and into your house. You have a wonderful sense of style. I can see several things that we came across together during many of our antique and junking trips. They each hold special memories of our times together. I will be anxiously awaiting the next blog post. Thanks so much for sharing!

Whitney, it looks great! You have a way of decorating that is inspirational & my style!!!! All the hard work had paid off! Thanks for sharing & look forward to more pictures of your home!

  • Hi Ms Whitney . . . Love your style! I see that you and I have a LOT in common. Some time I’ll have to send you pictures of my house, so we can compare notes! I’ve always wanted an old house too! I had one, but it was too big, so we had to down size–so I know what you mean about getting rid of stuff. Thanks for sharing this wonderful journey with us!

Would you please come decorate my house???? I love everything you do!!!!

  • Lisa….anything to bring me home!!!!! 🙂 Miss you tons!

So you ask….what does fugly mean!?  Well, it is one of my silly words that I have created.  It basically means fun + ugly = Fugly!!!  I have secretly had a thing for ugly lamps but didn’t really say it out loud to people.  I remember this one hanging lamp I just HAD to have […]

My dearest Whitney… I am so glad that you have posted this. I must say that you made a very wise purchase, with my insistance that you do so of course. Aren’t you glad that you listened to me this time? It is an awesome lamp, and I rather like the shade frame with it. It is a wonderful thing that even though we are miles apart, we are able to share our love of “fugly” things via the internet. Gotta love technology for this one reason. Ha! Ha! Love ya, Mom
