I had the absolute honor of getting to photograph my sweet nephew, John, as he was brought into this world. That experience was miraculous, amazing, spectacular, awe inspiring and one that made me want to photograph birth stories a whole lot more. Having gone through having two babies myself and soon to be three, it was really neat to be on the other side watching. So many emotions that rushed over me and those that I could capture for someone else. Seriously amazing! I am not sharing photos from that day at this time because I know those are private and very special to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. I am so proud and happy for Ross and Kayla and look forward to all the fun we will have together with our children. Love y’all!!!!
With that said, I can share John’s newborn session that we did over two separate days about a week apart. He changed quite a bit during that time stretch but we went with what he needed at that time. He was way more concerned about eating than he was about performing for me. 🙂 The babies control the session entirely. I got see and hold him the other day and my how much he has grown. Time flies! I hate that it does but not much we can do about it. Here are a few of my favorites and quite a bit of them are black and white. I just love black and white photographs. Something so classic about them. Enjoy!
