Whitney Owen Designs (Shop Snyder!!) – Snyder, Texas

I just wanna share a little bit of MY………….

I had the great opportunity to open a space in Down Town Depot right after Thanksgiving and it has been fantastic!!!  It is all mine and I get to display in the “Whitney” way.  I hate plastic risers…blech!  Or anything brand spanking new.  If it has peeling paint or rust on it, you better believe I am more up to the challenge of using it.  I love old stuff and doors oh my gosh doors tell so many stories!  I just love the textures that antique pieces give me.  It is a rush!  Then, when I can fit in my graphics…and I love that too (simple to crazy-funky) it makes my head spin.

So on with my story….I got sick right after Christmas and was down for about two and half weeks.  Then…came the New Year’s craziness.  Everyone was getting back to normal schedules and my business kicked back up into high gear again.  I am so thankful that my Mom helps me.  She got things marked down that needed to be, but I haven’t gotten in there myself to take care of things that I need to.  I have been to Snyder once, but only in passing and it was pretty late.  I was on my way to Market last week and that whole day was just rather strange.  I was late all day!

***Sidenote….But, thank goodness because that was the day that horrible wreck happened on HWY-84.  My Aunt Julie was traveling with me and we came up on it about 15 minutes after it occured.  Now…it was eye opening and I am so grateful to God for throwing me curve balls that day.  And, I am also thankful that my brother, Adam, decided to stop at my house to use my computer as he was traveling on the same road.  Glory to God!  My heart goes out to the victim’s family in his untimely passing.***

Sorry, I just had to say that.  Now, I am FINALLY going to Snyder Monday!  I have a consultation and then I will be doing some things  to WOD.  YipPee!!!  It’s okay….you can say “it’s about time!”   Oh yes….while I was at Market, I got some goodies that will be added soon!!!  Stay tuned to find out more!  Check out my pics below of what it looked like at Christmas.
