Country Living Fair 2012 – Day One – Austin, Texas

Mom and I had been planning to attend the Country Living Fair in Austin since we first learned there was going to be a fair there.  I hadn’t been to Austin in quite a few years…I think when I had a job interview there to be exact.  That was in 2004…very long ago.  So, needless to say I was so confused when we drove in.  I was so tired…and now I believe that was the pregnancy hormones kicking in.  I also was very snappy…sorry Mom.  We finally made it to our hotel and got some much needed rest.  We headed to the fair that next morning and I swear we were so silly…that kind of silly where you are so excited you are giggling.  Ha!  The first day we mainly checked things out but we did make a few little purchases.  Mom and I also ran in Jackie and Valerie Greene who had their booth all set up.  They were busy so it took us a few minutes to get up to them.  It was so nice to see their sweet, friendly faces.  🙂  We stayed until it was time to shut down…we didn’t make it all the way through so we were glad we bought the two day pass.  That evening we made a trip to IKEA and then I took Mom to Chuy’s.  YUM!  That was so good!  She swears that is her favorite Mexican food restaurant now.  I honestly couldn’t get enough of the salsa…again my pregnancy hormones.  🙂

Loved your posting! I sooooo wanted to get to Austin, but as usual something family came up. Maybe next time if they have it there again. I am really enjoying keeping up with you and your pregnancy. You sound so happy that it is infectious and you spread it around like butter. Keep up the good work and I am so “over the moon” happy for you two. Love you…..Janice

  • Oh it was so fun! I think next year (hopefully they return) will be even better! Plus, getting big things home won’t be an issue next time. I had to settle for smaller goodies but hey they sure are some wonderful goodies. 🙂
