Sneak Peak – The Owen Girls – Abilene, Texas

While I was home, one thing I had to do was photograph my nieces.  Mission accomplished!!!! :)  Kendall, Mom, Riley, Trusslynn and I drove over to Abilene together to meet up with Somer, Gracie and BB for a little girl time.  Taking photos of my own family was a little challenging but in the end I love what I captured.  As you will see, I had a VERY hard time narrowing down my faves so I did a little bigger sneak peak than normal.  Aren’t they all just the most gorgeous girls?!?!  I am pretty partial but seriously!?  More to come later…

Personal – A Glorious Spring Day

I have to say that I miss home but one thing I love about living in Indiana is the weather AND the most amazing scenery.  I love trees and they are abundant here. :)  Also, I was so ecstatic when the cherry blossom trees started blooming at the end of March but I didn’t get an opportunity during daylight to take pics of a cluster of cherry blossom trees that I have seen in Columbus (about a 20 minute drive and a cool architecturally driven town).  That was okay because my neighbor has one and I thought…well that will do! :)  I got home from the gym one morning and ran inside to get my camera.  Her tree is gorgeous…still growing…but gorgeous!  As I got closer to it, the smell was so fragrant and so wonderful!  After I was pleased with my shots, I decided to get a few of my sweetest ‘lil angels…my three basset hounds. :)  Bogart and Jezebelle did not like the camera but boy Smitty sure did!  Ha!

Sneak Peak – Kelly and Olivia – Snyder, Texas

While I was home, I got to photograph my Aunt Kelly and her daughter, Olivia.  Olivia is the only first cousin I have on my Mom’s side…and we are about 30 years apart!  Haha!!!  As I was going through the images, all I could do was smile.  This makes my heart happy. :)  More to come later!

Where in the world have I been?!?!

It has been a crazy couple of months to say the least.  I had my best college graduation season to date and I am so thrilled about that!  I didn’t have many high school but that is okay because getting my name out in the college crowd is awesome!!  Most of my college grad invite requests came from Texas Tech University…my Alumni! :)  I got to wandering how people were finding me since I do not advertise (and never have).  So, I discovered my images come up tons in Google searches and then my listing comes up on the first web search page.  This is amazing!!!!  Usually you have to pay for that kind of publicity and in this case I have not put forward one single cent.  I worked my tail of to get all my orders finished up before I left for a much needed trip home to see my family.  I was so tired but before I left for my trip, my husband and I did the Spartan Indiana Founders Race a few days before I left.  Go check it out….Spartan Race.  It was grueling and left me bruised for weeks!  It was so fun and mentally challenging!  I recommend it to everyone!

My time home was great!  It was wild and crazy but so needed.  I am still trying to recover from all the traveling but all in all I feel much more refreshed.  My trip home was not all personal as I had several meetings and photo sessions.  In the next few days, I will be getting back in a more regular routine with posting more frequently.  I have some Sneak Peaks to show as well as ALL the invites, stationery and other goodies I have worked on over the past few months.  So in other words….I am about to blow this blog up!!!!!  Until next time…..

Sneak Peak – Girls Inc. Gymnastics – Seymour, Indiana

I know it is almost time to release the photos from my session at Girls Inc. but I thought I would put out a little teaser.  I love the outdoor shots and the drama that the shadows create. :)  Just a few of my faves…..  They will be live tomorrow evening.
